Pamela S. Motil

Pamela S. Motil age 73, of Caldwell, Ohio passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell.  She was born September 23, 1946 in Fort Benning, Georgia, a daughter of the late Linwood F. and Laura E. Bowen Day.

She was an avid quilter and belonged to the Townsquare Quiltlovers Guild. She was Catholic by faith. She enjoyed shopping and will always be remembered as a great southern cook. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Steve Andy Motil Jr. who passed away August 14, 2016; stepfather Gerald W. Dotson and half-brother Charles Dotson.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Steve Motil III of Dayton, Ohio and Gregory Motil of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Laura and Luke Motil; two sisters, Linda Vaughn of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Teresa Guiler of Caldwell; two half-brothers, Steven Day and Jim Day both of Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for memorial visitation August 7, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A memorial service will conclude visitation at 6 p.m. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as celebrant. A private family inurnment will be held in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Byesville, Ohio.

    What a wonderful person Pam was a great mother , grandmother , sister and friend . I feel so blessed to have had her friendship for over 20 years with everything she went through she still kept her love of life and her laugh at the crazy things that always seem to happen. She was loved by so many i honored that she was my friend . Prayers to all the family Stevie Greg and Linda God Bless you .
