Lloyd E. McVay

Lloyd E. McVay, age 94, of Marietta, Ohio, died Friday, December 9, 2022, at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. He was born December 16, 1927, in Sycamore Valley, Monroe County, Ohio, son of the late Clarence E. and Frieda Fleihman McVay. Lloyd was a 1945 graduate of Bethel High School and was a graduate of Marietta College, where he earned a business degree. He was a United States Army veteran, and he retired from Union Carbide in Marietta. He enjoyed collecting cars.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Betty E. McVay; and one brother, Carl E. McVay.

Surviving is one brother, Clarence E. “Pete” (Beverly) McVay of Columbus.

A graveside service will be observed Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Creighton Ridge Cemetery with Pastor George Clark officiating and a veteran’s service will be conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations.
