Ohio Loves Transit Week Celebrated February 16–20, 2026

In recognition of the week, Buckeye Southeast Transit will be offering free fares on February 18–19 for all in-county rides, based on availability, for the general public. Residents may schedule rides by contacting Buckeye Southeast Transit at 740-962-9125.

Ohio Loves Transit Week is celebrated to recognize the vital role of public transit in enhancing mobility, supporting economic development, and improving the quality of life across Ohio.  It encourages riders to show their appreciation for public transit and highlights the economic return on investment in transit services.

We are also pleased to share that the Noble County Commissioners have officially signed a proclamation declaring February 16–20 as Ohio Loves Transit Week in Noble County.

Additionally, Julia Hinzman and Kelly Isaly of Buckeye Hills Regional Council will be attending Legislative Day on February 17 at the Statehouse, where they will be meeting with representatives to discuss the importance of public transit and the impact it has on our communities.

Below is the proclamation signed by Noble County Commissioners Brian Carter, Floyd Allen Fraley and Gary Saling.
