Earl M. Bond

Earl M. Bond, age 87, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, January 17, 2025, at his home. He was born November 10, 1937, in Zanesville, son of the late Ora R. and Ocie Lucille Alton Bond. Earl was a 1956 graduate of Belle Valley High School. He retired as a tool and die maker for the former Mahle plant in Caldwell following 42 years of service. He owned and operated Campview Live Bait and a lawn mower and small engine repair service. Earl attended the Hoskinsville and Belle Valley Methodist Churches and was a member of the Belle Valley Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed gardening and doing body work on old cars.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marcella Rose Wheeler Bond, whom he married June 7, 1959, and who died August 21, 2022; and one sister, Roberta Still.

Surviving are his children, Dana E. (Marilyn) Bond and Cynthia E. (Spike) Ralston, all of Caldwell, Brenda S. Buttrey of Belmont, West Virginia, and Amanda R. (Neil) Tilton of Guernsey County; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

Friends may call Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 1-4 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 4 p.m. with Ken Perkins officiating.
