Patricia A. “Patty” Tonnous

Patricia A. “Patty” Tonnous, age 77, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Altercare Summit Acres. She was born September 2, 1947, in Caldwell, daughter of the late Bernard W. and Betty J. Warner Archer. Patty attended Shenandoah High School and was employed as a cook for Summit Acres Nursing Home for 17 years, and she was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and its Catholic Women’s Club. She belonged to euchre clubs, and enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her family. She enjoyed going to casinos.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three children, Yvonne Tonnous, Ursula Tonnous, and Brent Tonnous; a sister, Wanda Brown; and a brother, Danny Archer.

Surviving are her son, Rick (Mona) Tonnous of Caldwell; her grandchildren, Brianna Tonnous, Mercedes (Jessica) Tonnous-Hoff, Kristen (Matt) Tewksbury; Austin (Patrick) Tonnous, Hannah Tonnous, Joey Tonnous, and Rich, Trisha, and Justin Tonnous; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Marlene Gaydos of Caldwell, Nancy (Robert) Thompson of Zanesville, Mary Jane (Myron) Hannahs of Ravenna, and Becky Hendershot of Caldwell;  one brother, Randy (Gwen) Archer of Caldwell; a sister-in-law, Denise Archer of Caldwell; a brother-in-law, Bob (Debbie) Brown of Caldwell; and a long-time friend, Karen Porter of St. Clairsville.

Friends may call Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Saturday, July 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell with Rev. Fr. Thomas Nelson as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
