Raymond E. Schneeberger
Raymond E. Schneeberger, age 92, of Caldwell, died Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Ohio Health Southeastern Med in Cambridge. He was born October 6, 1932, in Jefferson Township, Noble County, Ohio, son of the late Clarence W. and Edna V. Addlesburger Schneeberger. He was a 1951 graduate of Dexter City High School and a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Korean War. Over the years Raymond had worked at RCA, NCR and Gould. He was a Journeyman Tool Maker, retiring from the Ohio Department of Transportation Machine Shop in Marietta. Along with his late wife June, he had owned and operated a family farm since 1958. Raymond was a member of the Whigville Community Church and enjoyed squirrel and coon hunting. He loved farming. Raymond was a man of great faith who was devoted to his family. He taught his children to live life to the fullest and to make each day count.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, June L. Schramm Schneeberger, whom he married in 1956 and who died in 2022; three brothers, David, Paul and George Frederick Schneeberger; and two sisters, Irene Boney and Kate Boyd.
Surviving are his children, Beverly Rose (Jeffrey) Radcliff of The Plains, Martha June (Stanley) Zalar of Caldwell and Samuel S. (Angie) Schneeberger of Pleasant City; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 1 to 3 p.m., at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, in Caldwell, where the funeral will follow visitation at 3 p.m. Noble County Veteran Service Organizations will provide military honors at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville.
