Judith “Judy” Ball Kilburn

Judith “Judy” Ball Kilburn, 90, of Lewisville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Judy was born on August 26, 1935, in Caldwell, Ohio, the daughter of the late Richard and Twila Tilton Ball of Caldwell, Ohio. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Kilburn and a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Judy is survived by her two children, Sherry (Denson) Wright of Guyton, Georgia, and Bryan (Ruth) Kilburn of Lewisville; grandchildren, Kristy (Stephen) Lanier of Guyton, Georgia, Kara (Michael) Dixon of Lewisville, and Chad (Amy) Kilburn of Newport, Ohio, Makenzie Taylor, and Jenna Neubauer (Alex); and great-grandchildren, Ethan Gilbert, Emily (Brian) Joiner, Elijah Lanier, Holden Dixon, Laniey Dixon, Kolby Kilburn, Paul Lanier, Zayden Taylor, Emerson Taylor,  Paige Speelman, and Colt Neubauer. She was also looking forward to welcoming her first great-great- grandchild, due to be born in January 2027. She is also survived by her siblings, Jeaneen Morland, Steve (Sandy) Ball, and Mike (Patty) Ball; sister-in-law Mary (Judy) Kilburn; and brother-in-law Dale Kilburn.

In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law Clyde Morland and Donald Kilburn; brother and sister-in-law Ralph and Birdie Kilburn; and sister-in-law Dorothy Kilburn, and her mother and father-in-law, Freeman and Grace Kilburn.

Judy worked at Riesbeck’s Food Market for 48 years, dedicating much of her life to serving her community. She also prepared income taxes for several years. Judy enjoyed spending her winters at her home in Florida, where she made many wonderful friendships and cherished the time she spent with those friends. She will be remembered most of all for the love she shared with her family and the many lives she touched throughout her 90 years. She leaves behind a beautiful family, cherished memories, and a legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the great-great-grandchild she was so looking forward to meeting. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Friends will be received from 5 – 8 p.m. Sunday August 2, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul Street, Woodsfield, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday August 3, 2026 with Pastor Christy Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in the Middle Church Cemetery near Lewisville, Ohio.
