Denis “Den” L. Kinnen
Denis “Den” L. Kinnen age 63, of Cumberland, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his home. He was born January 24, 1957 in Zanesville, OH a son of the late Wilbert George and Thelma Marie Schott Kinnen.
He was a 1975 Graduate of the Caldwell High School. He was employed for many years at the former Mahle manufacturing plant in Caldwell, before eventually working for Detroit Diesel in Cambridge, Ohio. He was a member of the Steelworkers Union and the Stop Nine Church of Christ in Byesville, Ohio. He had many hobbies including gardening, fishing, and hunting.
He was a wood craftsman participating in the Art on the Square in Caldwell for many years. He proudly displayed his many creations such as his wooden hope chests, blanket chests, log cabin mailboxes, wall mirrors, and his Purple Martin bird boxes.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Diana Lynn Leopold and sister-in-law Stephanie Kinnen.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Cindy Yost Kinnen whom he married September 27, 1975; three children Kelly (Jennifer) Kinnen of Cincinnati, Ohio; Shelly Picciano of Fort Myers, FL, and Melissa Kinnen of Cincinnati; one grandson Elijah; brother Dale Kinnen of Boston Heights, Ohio, and his beloved cat Bobbi. He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Cremation will be observed. The family will receive friends for memorial visitation Friday, June 12, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Memorial Service will conclude visitation Friday, June 12, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Minister Robert Vincent officiating.
