Shenandoah’s Flood Receives Wells Memorial Scholarship
by Jeff Harrison
Shenandoah High 2020 graduate Raegan Flood was awarded the John Wells Memorial Scholarship.
The $1,000 scholarship – presented in the memory of the late John Wells, a highly-respected pitching coach from the area who spent many years on the Muskingum University coaching staff – is presented each year to two college-bound high school seniors who are outstanding softball players or managers in Muskingum, Guernsey, Noble, Morgan, Perry and Coshocton Counties.
Flood, a two-year softball letterwinner who was a pitcher/third baseman/first baseman, was also a standout in volleyball and basketball for the Lady Zeps. She will continue her academic and athletic careers at Muskingum University where she will play volleyball.
