Martha Jean Snode, age 91, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, June 29, 2020, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born July 26, 1928, in Carroll County, Ohio, daughter of the late John Willard and Etta Naudice Milligan Smalley. Jean attended Caldwell High School. She was employed by NCR in Cambridge, Noble Local Schools, and she managed Caldwell Cleaners for several years. She attended Caldwell United Methodist Church, and she was a 4-H advisor for the Buffalo Belles 4-H Club for many years. She enjoyed quilting and sewing.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Snode, whom she married in June, 1946, and who died December 4, 1986; one granddaughter, Chandra; three sisters, Emma, Virginia, and Mary; and one brother, Robert.
Surviving are her children, Carol J. Lovett of Palm Bay, Florida, Rebecca J. (David) Crum of Barnesville, and Charles L. (Sue) Snode of Sarahsville; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at a later time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Caldwell United Methodist Church, 537 Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
