James “Jim” H. Wimsatt
James “Jim” H. Wimsatt age 83, of Caldwell, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the Summit Acres Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Caldwell. He was born May 18, 1937 in Owensboro, Kentucky, a son of the late Harlen and Mildred Thompson Wimsatt.
He was retired from the International Converter manufacturing plant in Caldwell and the former Worl Thompson Motor Sales. He will be remembered as a car enthusiast and he loved to golf.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by stepson Jeff Slaughter; and two brothers, Tom and Joe “Bub” Wimsatt.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Jean Allen Wimsatt, whom he married June 29, 1973; son Jim Wimsatt II of Westerville, Ohio; grandchildren Lauren, Addison, and Samuel Wimsatt, Jeffrey and Rhys Slaughter; great-grandchild Jayden James Slaughter; stepdaughter-in-law Stacey Slaughter of Florida; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Janice and David Hanes of Caldwell; and two special nieces, Theresa Becker and Jean Hill. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
