Daisy Bell Buckley

Daisy Bell Buckley age 101 of Caldwell, OH passed away Monday evening November 9, 2020 at the Altercare Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell. She was born November 12, 1918 in Cambridge, Ohio a daughter of the late Edgar (Pansy) Poland and Carrie LaFollette (Ray) Keith.

She was a member of the Ava United Methodist Church and attended St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Port Washington, Ohio. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking, and playing Bingo. She worked at various plastic manufacturing plants around Cambridge, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Rodney E. Buckley whom she married February 28, 1937 and who passed February 2, 1993; a daughter Barbara (Art) E. Zudell; daughter-in-law Doris Jeanette Buckley; sisters Margaret Warters, Rea Heim, and Wanda Holstein; brothers Nile Poland and Jack Poland; sister-in-law Ruth Ann Shondrick.

Those left to cherish her memory are a son Rev. Dr. Robert E. Buckley of Caldwell; five grandchildren Robin (Doree) Buckley of Caldwell, Tom “T.Z.” (Kim) Zudell of Caldwell, Attorney Sharon E. Buckley (Dr. Morteza) Mihaidari of Dover, Ohio, Marilyn (Brent) Watkins of Cambridge, and Chrystal L. Buckley Smith of Dover; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Patty (Melvin) West of Pleasant City, Ohio. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

A private family service will be observed Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. Friends are invited to join the family at 12:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home to line up in procession or to join them at the Hiramsburg Cemetery near Belle Valley, Ohio at 1:00 p.m. for a graveside service. Masks and social distancing are required at all services for everyone’s safety.
