James “Jim” L. Curnutte
James “Jim” L. Curnutte age 78, of Caldwell, Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the Altercare Summit Acres Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Caldwell, OH. He was born June 18, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio a son of the late George Curnutte Sr. and Virginia VanHoose Harding.
Jim was an avid golfer and card player. He could often be found watching the OSU Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, and Bengals. He especially enjoyed watching westerns, with John Wayne and Gunsmoke being a few of his favorites. Many will remember Jim as the owner and operator of the Ashton Inn for over 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, George Curnutte Jr. and sister, Sharon Schall.
Those left to cherish his memory are children Stephanie (Don) Dolweck of Caldwell, Cynthia (Brent), James, and Cathy; his loving companion Marcia Noll of Caldwell and her children April (Mark) Carpenter, Angela (Chris Clark) Noll, and Alex (Shelly) Noll; grandchildren Bailee, Emma, Whyatt, Nathan, Abby, Isabelle, Ellie, Kylie, Leah, Bennett, Marissa, Brent, Alexia, and Cyara; siblings Glenn (Priscilla) Curnutte of Grove City, Ohio, Rick (Leah) Curnutte, Debbie (Jim) Chuvalas, and Dottie (Marc) Runck all of Canal Winchester, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation Friday, November 13, 2020 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A memorial service will conclude visitation Friday at 6:00 p.m. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
