First Place Residential Decorating Contest Award Goes to Frank Mackie of Caldwell

Isaac Carpenter, right, presents Frank Mackie, first place winner of the Journal’s residential Christmas decorating contest, his prizes. Mackie’s house on Railroad Street in Caldwell won first place for best decorated residence, and included the use of lights, animation and music. The competition was judged by out-of-county judges with no ties to Noble County. They were not given the names of the contestants, only their house numbers. The Journal thanks Mayor Misty Wells for organizing the village Christmas event, and thanks all who participated in the event in any way.
