Five Caldwell Wrestlers took home wins at Hannibal Saturday

Caldwell High’s wrestling squad traveled to Hannibal on Saturday for a quadrangular match, with the Redskins claiming three victories 45-9 over River, 48-12 over Shadyside, and 48-24 against Fort Frye.

“I am proud of how our guys competed today,” Coach Derick Hesson stated. “They improve every time we wrestle. It is nice to have a more complete team now that we have Jonah and Havison back from injury and Gabe back out with us.”

Five Caldwell wrestlers won all three of their matches on the day – Colby Langley (160/170), Marshal Sayre (170/182), Jonan Croucher (182/195), Cody Welch (113/120) and Cale Bender (120/126).

Getting two wins were TJ Wehr (285), Joel Ackley (138), Jase Norman (220) and Gabe Parrish (106). Results:

The Caldwell grapplers are now 9-5 in dual meets. They will be in action again on Thursday, Feb. 4 at Fort Frye in a triangular match with the Cadets and the Shenandoah Zeps. They will also travel to Cambridge on Saturday, Feb. 6 for a quadrangular match.
