Maxine E. Woodford
Maxine E. Woodford, age 86, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, February 15, 2021, at Stellar Care Center in Woodsfield. She was born March 21, 1934, in Burgles, Ohio, daughter of the late Lester and Estella Bender Truxall. She was a graduate of Minerva High School and the Cambridge Cosmetology School. Maxine owned and operated Hair Haven in Caldwell for 40 years and she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell. She enjoyed spending time on Facebook and playing solitaire on her cell phone. She was devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Edward Woodford; four sisters, Mary Morkle, Zelma Champer, Bessie Martin, and Nancy Eller; and four brothers, Clyde Truxall, Lester Truxall, Clarence Truxall, and William Truxall.
Surviving are her children, Deborah K. Hupp of Summerfield, and Randy L. (Annetta) Woodford and Ranie Sue (Roger) Hupp, all of Caldwell; six grandchildren, Melissa Robbins, Justin Woodford, Gene Hupp, Jean Ellen Lucas, Jennifer Wukelich, and Jessica Warner; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be observed Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 532 North Street, Caldwell. Inurnment will follow at Dudley Cemetery.
