Kathryn Maxwell

Kathryn Maxwell age 77 of Caldwell, Ohio passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Lore City, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 20, 1943 in Caldwell a daughter of the late John Franklin and Leona Frances Wheeler Hardesty.

She liked to crochet and spent countless hours working alongside her husband at the Noble County Fairgrounds.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Garry L. Maxwell, whom she married May 16, 1965 and who passed away July 29, 1999; two brothers, David and Charles Hardesty; four sisters, Norma and Naomi Hardesty, Geneva Faye Hardesty, and Bernice Carolyn Hardesty.

Those left to cherish her memory are four children, Eugene (Donna Kress) Hardesty of Caldwell, Rob (Nancy) Maxwell of Caldwell, Bill (Jemma) Maxwell of Caldwell, and Heidi (Codey) Maxwell Winland of Lore City; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Sally (Alva) Clark of Dexter City, Ohio and Ruthann (Gary) Feldner of Sarahsville, Ohio; brother-in-law Larry Maxwell of Coshocton, Ohio. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1 p.m.  in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Rick Tanner officiating. Burial will follow in the Dudley Cemetery near Caldwell.
