Richard Fredrick Carpenter, Sr., 83, of Quaker City, Ohio passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Emerald Pointe Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on September 16, 1937 in Noble County, Ohio to the late Kenneth E. and Bessie Carpenter.
Richard enjoyed playing his guitar and fishing in his free time.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Ryan) Carpenter in 2007; and brothers: Emerson Carpenter, Joseph Carpenter, Wilford Carpenter, Donnie Carpenter; and step-daughter, Carolyn (Campbell) Cain.
Richard is survived by his children: Richard (Stacie) Carpenter, Jr., Raymond Carpenter, James (Juanita) Carpenter, Darlene Kincaid and Kenneth (Rebecca) Carpenter; brother, Frank (Nancy) Carpenter, sisters: Adelia Covert, Carolyn Milhoan and Bonnie Kirkbride; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, and nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required for visitation on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bill Pickenpaugh officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home 319 N. Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713. Burial will follow at Batesville Cemetery.
