Marjorie K. Palmer
Marjorie K. Palmer, age 74, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, April 15, 2021, at her home. She was born July 31, 1946, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Howard and Luella Slasor Thompson. Marjorie retired from the dietary department at Summit Acres Nursing Home. She was a member of the Caldwell Church of the Nazarene, and she loved flower gardening, baking, and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Gerry Critzer, Elizabeth Whitman, Annabelle Keylor, June “Toby” Dollison, Fran Hall, Shirley Harper, Beverly Hauck, and Rodeanya Robinson; and her brothers, Harold Thompson, Howard Thompson, and Silas Thompson.
Surviving are her husband, Daniel Allen Palmer, whom she married December 27, 1968; her children, Wendy M. (Brent) Henderson of Sarahsville, Corrina D. Barati of the home, and Misty D. Palmer of Greenbrier, Arkansas; one sister, Patricia King; one brother, Kenny Thompson; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 20, 2021, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1 p.m. with Pastor John Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Hiramsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice Care, 450 Pike Street, Suite I-1, Marietta, Ohio, 45750.
