Judith S. (Black) Guy
Judith S. (Black) Guy, 80, passed away on May 9, 2021 surrounded by her family.
She was born July 7, 1940 in East Brady PA, daughter of the late Orville L. and Madeline E. (McCanna) Black.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, spending time with her family, and time out on service.
She was a Jehovah’s Witness for forty-eight years. She loved all her spiritual Brothers and Sisters.
She always had a smile for everyone and was a friend to all.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Donald; and an infant daughter, Susan.
She is survived by her sons, Donald (Jeanie) Guy Jr. of Barnesville, Robert (Stacy) Guy of Belmont, Michael (Penny) Guy of Barnesville, Timothy (Mary) Guy of Lower Salem, John (Tammy) Guy of Lewisville, and Tony (Denise) Guy of Portland TN; her daughters, Sandra (Bob) DeLancey of Calais, Michelle (Glen) Bettinger of East Union, and Lisa Guy of New Athens; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; a brother, Dave (Michaelina) Black of New Brighton PA; and a sister, Wanda (Clyde) Barr of Beaver Falls PA.
Visitation will be held Thursday (May 13, 2021) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Elder Sam Elliot officiating. Family and friends are all welcome, but due to COVID-19, FACE COVERINGS ARE REQUIRED. Please take all precautions to ensure your own safety and everyone else’s should you decide to attend.
Burial will be at the Guy Family Cemetery, Calais.
