Debra J. Cartell

Debra J. Cartell, age 68, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, May 16, 2021, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. She was born October 11, 1953, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert L. and Bertha J. Norris Carter. She attended Caldwell High School and was a homemaker. Debra enjoyed camping and fishing, and she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Lee Mazgay and Becky Miller; and two brothers, Robert “Bobby” Norris and Charles A. “Chuck” Carter.

Surviving are her husband, David A. Cartell, whom she married April 24, 1970; her children, Michael A. Cartell of McConnelsville and Michelle D. (Steve) Grubb of East Union; her siblings, Cheryl (Paul) Keith, Kay Reed, and Mike (Jan) Carter, all of Caldwell; three grandchildren, Jordan Mincks, Mattie Angela Grubb, and Bayli Michelle Grubb; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
