Susan Ann McAuley Hall, age 73 of Brawley California, died May 20th at Sharps Hospital in San Diego after a short illness. Susie was born May 5, 1948 in Caldwell, daughter of the late Carol (Archibald) and Dayle McAuley.
In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her husband George Hall who passed away in 2003 and by her brothers Charles “Wally” McAuley and Mike McAuley. She is survived by her daughters Georgina McAuley (Fernando Linares) of Brawley California and Linda McAuley (Jennifer Howell) of Columbus and her grandson, Cristian Flores of Chico California.
Susan was born and raised in Caldwell where she attended Caldwell High School. She moved to southern California in her late 20s. Living her life in the Imperial Valley suited her as the desert weather was hot year round. Susan required a lot of assistance after her husband passed away and her daughter ‘GiGi’ took loving care of her for many years. Susie, as she was fondly called by her late husband, had three big loves in life: cigarettes, crossword puzzles and her daughters (in that order). She was a unique person and will be missed by those that knew and loved her.
