Dolores Darlene Howell
Dolores Darlene Howell, 85, of Summerfield, Ohio passed on peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, June 18, 2021.
Dolores (Dee) was born March 2, 1936 in Gypsum, Kansas to the late Gilbert and Estella (Van Buskirk) Pruyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Howell; two daughters, Kathy and Julie Howell; a son, Kevin Howell; and four brothers, Gilbert Pruyn, Don, Dale and Alvin Burch.
Dee graduated from Ellsworth High School in Kansas in 1954 and travelled extensively with her Air Force husband Robert including tours in many bases in the U.S. and Wiesbaden, Germany while raising her children. Dee was an independent woman, fun loving and caring with a generous spirit. She had a hilarious sense of humor and could always bring a smile to your face. She had many hobbies such as genealogy, quilting and crocheting, puzzles, music (she loved to sing) and animals.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving companion over the past 20 years, Glenn Havran; a brother, Dennis (Donna) Pruyn of Salina, Kansas; a son, Jerry (Robin) Howell; a granddaughter, Courtney Howell; six grandsons, Jarrett (Charity) Howell, Jeremiah Rushman, Kevin Howell, John Howell, Chad Howell and Justin Howell; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and a multitude of friends. Also the last of many beloved pets, her dog Lilly. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
There will be no visitation or service. Cremation will take place and a celebration of her life is being planned for a future date.
