Julie Ann Koivula 

A funeral service for Julie Ann Koivula, 52, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 1 at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Carr officiating.  Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30 at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark.

Julie passed away September 25, 2021.  She was born July 9, 1969, in Zanesville, to Larry N. and Donna M. (Kirkbride) Mallett of Summerfield.

Julie was a very loving and giving person whose life was centered around her boys and grandbabies. She took great care of her husband Denny which was much appreciated.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Denny Koivula; sons, Matt, Zach, and Ben Shutts all of Newark; step-children, Ellie Koivula of Newark, Andy (Clarissa) Koivula of Texas, and Gretchen (Danny) Grubb of Newark; grandchildren, Owie, Ollie, Bentley, Jacob, Cass, and Emily; brothers, Michael (Anne) Mallett of Summerfield and Charlie (Tamra) Mallett of Athens, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dallas and Alice (McElfresh) Mallett and Monzona and Grace (Warner) Kirkbride.
