Patricia E. Nichelson

Patricia E. Nichelson, age 84, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, October 8, 2021, at her home. She was born May 1, 1937, in Belle Valley, daughter of the late Levi Verle and Sarah Victoria Ellis Hickman. Pat retired from Quilting Creations in Zoar. She loved playing cards, reading, and watching NCIS and John Wayne movies. She was devoted to her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Bernard Nichelson, whom she married October 28, 1953, and who died March 27, 2018; two daughters, Patsy Arlene Costa and Melody Sue Saxton; one son, George Edward Nichelson; one grandson, Carl Levi Christmas; a great-grandson; two sisters, Vickie Bennett and Linda Yerian; and three brothers, Clifford, Edgar, and Larry Hickman.

Surviving are her children, Debbie E. Snyder of Caldwell, Cindy V. McGee (James Riley) of Trimball, and Jeffrey W. Nichelson and Michael A. Nichelson (Janet Case), all of Sugarcreek; her siblings, James R. (Marion Hope) Hickman of Caldwell, Jerry B. Hickman of Henderson, Nevada, and Paul (Irene) Hickman of Pleasant City; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call Monday, October 11, 2021, from 4-8 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, October 12 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ryan Clegge officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery. Due to current Covid conditions, guests are asked to follow recommended safety guidelines at all gatherings.
