Brady Ray Miller

Brady Ray Miller age 71, of Caldwell, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Southeastern Med in Cambridge, Ohio. He was born August 13, 1950 in Marietta, Ohio a son of the late Brady R. Miller and E. Frances “Cricket” Buckey Matthews.

He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell. He served his country in the Army Reserve. He was the Vice President of the former Caldwell Savings & Loan Bank in Caldwell. He also was employed at the Noble County Post of ODOT and retired from Altercare Summit Acres Nursing Home. He enjoyed riding horses, farming, playing cards, watching the Buckeyes and Indians play, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter Larissa (David) Dovenbarger of Belle Valley, Ohio; grandsons Christopher and Ryan Dovenbarger; his father Gene W. Matthews of Caldwell; siblings Kathy (Ray) DeVolld of Pataskala, Ohio, Allen (Denise) Matthews of Caldwell, Leonard E. (Fiancée Linda Todd) Matthews of Cambridge, and Jim (Margaret) Matthews of St. Joseph, MI; companion Gerry Rossiter of Caldwell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, November 8, 2021 from 2 – 6 p.m. at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will conclude visitation Monday at 6 p.m. with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as celebrant. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be held at a later date in Halley’s Ridge Cemetery next to his father.     I graduated with Brady and although I haven’t seen him in many years, he was always such a kind man. My sincere condolences to his family at this time.
