Daniel L. “Danny” Buckey
Daniel L. “Danny” Buckey, age 62, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, December 20, 2021, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born June 11, 1959, in Cambridge, son of the late Charles E. Buckey and the late Jeannette Rayner Buckey Rowlands. Danny was a 1978 graduate of Shenandoah High School and the Guernsey-Noble Career Center, where he studied oil and gas. He worked in oil fields and he was a devoted caretaker for Halley’s Ridge Cemetery for many years. He was a member of the Caldwell Moose Lodge #221 and the Pleasant City AMVETS, Post #821. Danny loved riding motorcycles, tinkering with items, and welding, especially Ford tractors. He enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friend, Richie Schirtzinger.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Rodney W. Rowlands; and four brothers, Bill, Ronnie, Randy, and Johnny Buckey.
Surviving are his wife, Natascha Wolverton Buckey; one son, Jay Daniel Buckey of Concord, Ohio; four step-children, Steven (Jessica) DeLancey and Winter DeLancey, all of Caldwell, Paul (Dana) White of Zanesville, and Christopher White of Philo; his siblings, Chery J. (Roger) McElfresh, Ricky E. (Pam) Buckey, and Tony C. (Tina) Buckey, all of Caldwell; and 15 grandchildren.
