Jerry D. Hall Sr.
Jerry D. Hall Sr. age 80, of Macksburg, Ohio passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at his home. He was born January 14, 1942 in Marietta, Ohio, a son of the late Dillon and Katherine Schofield Hall.
He served and protected his nation in the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 750 in Lowell, Ohio, Stafford Lodge 300 F. & A.M., and Ohio’s Operating Engineers Union. He enjoyed feeding his birds, fishing, deer hunting, playing cards, and turtle hunting with friends. He loved his dog Rudy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Helga Rosa Herkert Hall whom he married February 10, 1961 and who passed away May 7, 2015; four sisters, Nancy Hall, Sue Azar, Tammy Hoff, and Sally Turner.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children Jerry (Debbie) Hall Jr. of Cumberland, Ohio, Mike Hall of Indiana, Gisela Isner of Lowell, Ohio, and Dickie (Robyn) Hall of Macksburg; grandchildren Brandi Hall, Tiffany (Brian) Burnfield, Hannah (Allan) Bingham, Derek Hall, Dillon Hall, Kaysi (Max) Goodall, Jeremy Hall, Logan Isner, and Eric Isner; great-grandchildren Kylie and Kenzie Burnfield, Sadie Bingham, Sophia, Peyton, Walker, and Lincoln Hall; sister Beth (Buck) Perky of Belpre, Ohio; brother Jim Hall of Thailand. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. William Pickenpaugh officiating.
