Mildred M. Dimmerling

Mildred M. Dimmerling age 87, Entered into Eternal Rest Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born May 24, 1934 at the former Thompson’s Hospital in Caldwell a daughter of the late John and Helen Bettinger Cozzens of Rado Ridge in Middleburg.

She was a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell, where she enjoyed attending the prayer group. She was active in the RIPPLES Cancer Support Group. She enjoyed doing ceramics for many years, canning, tour bus traveling, and most of all caring for her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Junior F. Dimmerling whom she married January 20, 1950 and who passed away June 26, 1999; son David Dimmerling; siblings Shirley Goodwill, Bonnie June Cozzens, Barbara Lee Cozzens, Joy Cozzens, and Dwain Cozzens.

Those left to cherish her memory are 3 children Beverly (Howard) Ritterbeck of Bolivar, OH, Dale Dimmerling, and Patty (Stanley) Batten all of Caldwell; grandchildren Brad (Vickii) Batten, Sarah (Jeremy Thomas) Batten, Matt Ritterbeck, Darci (Josh) Perkins, Dee (Donnie) Nau, Lee (Abigail) Dimmerling, Cory (Kendra) Dimmerling; great-grandchildren Jordyn, Jaxon, Lillie-Ann, Matthew, Elizabeth, Jack, Reece, Cecilee, Layke, Landis, Ryker, Baylor, Foster, and Emilia; sister Carolyn Clark Watson of Mansfield, OH; daughter-in-law Cindy Dimmerling (Bill) Clark of Middleburg, OH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell, with Rev. Father Wayne Morris serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Church in Caldwell, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Junior.
