Noble County Emergency Management and Office of Homeland Security Announces New Director
Noble County Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security (EMA & HS) and the executive board is pleased to announce the promotion of Erica Rossiter to the post of director, effective August 1, 2022.
Rossiter has been employed with Noble County EMA & HS since May 1, 2022. Rossiter has had a great deal of experience in a short time with Noble County with the recent multiple flash flood storms in June of 2022. She completed damage assessments and assisted connecting individuals with non-profit resources. She is also currently working with the State of Ohio to get a formal declaration and funds from FEMA to repair roads and other infrastructure that was damaged. Rossiter spent nine weeks partnering and mentoring the agency’s summer intern from the University of Akron, Sydney Yonally, on the new “Noble Alerts” system that is powered by RAVE Mobile Safety. The system has been two years in development and they completed that project and launched July 1, 2022.
Rossiter worked at the Area Aging on Aging, Region 9 from 2012 until 2022 where she held different positions. She graduated from Washington State Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Social Services, from Ashford University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Social Work: Gerontology and is currently continuing her education with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Rossiter is also a volunteer 4-H Advisor for 3 Forks 4-H club and is a Co-Owner of KGifts Balloon Artist and More.
The Noble County Emergency Management and Office of Homeland Security’s mission is to coordinate activities to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. Other activities include: education, training, planning, preparedness & strengthening first responders’ capabilities.
