Batesville Man Charged With Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor

The Noble County Sheriff’s Office working in conjunction with United States Department of Homeland Security opened an investigation into an individual in Beaver Township who is believed to be engaging in the trafficking of child pornography.

The ensuing investigation into the matter culminated on September 21, 2022, with the execution of a search warrant and subsequent arrest of an adult male.  The search warrant, executed in Noble County by Sheriff Mackie, Deputies and Detectives with assistance from the Southeast Ohio Human Trafficking Taskforce occurred at a residence in the Village of Batesville.

On September 22, 2022, Terry L. Thomas, age 60, was charged with Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor, a felony of the second degree. Noble County Prosecutor Jordan Croucher filed a motion for a no bond hearing.

County Court Judge Jennifer Arnold scheduled the no bond hearing for Monday September 26; Judge Arnold further order Thomas to be held without bond until the hearing. Thomas is remains incarcerated at the Noble County Jail.
