Phoebe D. Gerst, age 63, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, November 4, 2022, at her home. She was born April 3, 1959, in Marietta, daughter of the late Donald Joseph and Coralou Starr Gerst. Phoebe was a 1977 graduate of Caldwell High School, and over the years she was employed by Ames True Temper in Dexter City, and Lori’s Family Restaurant and McDonalds in Caldwell. She was a member of the Caldwell Moose. Phoebe loved arts and crafts. She was an accomplished painter, sketch artist, and she loved woodburning. She created toy boxes for her children with detailed scenes created through woodburning. She was also skilled in macrame and had a green thumb. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey L. Gerst.
Surviving are her children, Tiffany D. Linger (Richard Escoto) and Justin C. Linger, all of Dexter City; her grandchildren, Willow Linger, Addalyn McCauley Linger and Declan Escoto Linger, all of Dexter City; her siblings, Joyce (Jerry) Mosser, Paul Gerst, and Gerald (Christine) Gerst, all of Caldwell and Edward Gerst of Summerfield; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
