Marilyn Sue Walters, age 77, of Salesville, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at her home. She was born January 13, 1946, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Walter Johnson and Lillian Lucille Wheeler Johnson. Marilyn was a 1964 graduate of Shenandoah High School and was employed by NCR in Cambridge. Along with her husband, they owned and operated a family farm and they enjoyed trucking together. She was a member of Barry’s Ridge Community Church. Marilyn was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Frederick Walters, whom she married April 15, 1967, and who died June 1, 2022; one son, Edward Lee Walters; and a half-brother, Russell Johnson.
Surviving are two sons, David A. Walters of Salesville and Scott Frederick Walters (fiancé, Joy Huntsman) of Caldwell; four grandchildren, Robert (Joy) Walters, Devon Walters (Kaylee Wooten) Renee Walters, and Logan Walters; four great-grandchildren, Jasper Walters, Amara Walters, Alice Walters, and Jaxson Tingler; one brother, Bob Wheeler of New Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Friends may call Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 4-7 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Monday, April 3 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kevin White officiating.
