Betty Lou (Bond) Crock
Betty Lou (Bond) Crock, age 84, of Pickerington, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023. Her journey with Alzheimer’s Disease is done. She was born on August 30, 1938, in Caldwell, Ohio to the late Lewis and Edna Bond. Betty graduated from Belle Valley High School in 1956. She was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and its St. Vincent de Paul Society. Betty truly loved helping people and enjoyed volunteering and working through the years at Creative Learn and Play Preschool, at local craft stores, and Spence Funeral Home. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ron; and siblings Fred Bond, Robert Dale Bond, and Nellie Phelps. She is survived by her children Al (Lori) and Brian (Lisa) Crock, and Diane (Mike) Ouimet; grandchildren Sarah (Slade) Simpson, Ben (Alexandra) Crock, Paul and Emily Crock, Kurt and Ryan Ouimet; great-grandson Quinn Simpson; siblings Mona Chadwell, Lewis Bond, Jr., Linda (Raymond) McMannis, Mary Ann Clark; sister-in-law Jo Ann Bond; many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to give a special, heartfelt thanks to long-time friend, Barb Smithberger, for all of her support. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday with a Vigil Service held at 6:45 p.m. at Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 550 Hill Road N. in Pickerington. A funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 600 Hill Rd. N., with Fr. Leo Connolly, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Violet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Seton Parish St. Vincent DePaul, Ronald McDonald House, or Pelotonia in Betty’s memory.
