Mary Louise Rucker

Mary Louise Rucker, 87, of Stockport, Ohio, died on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville, Ohio. She was born on November 18, 1935 in Noble County, Ohio, daughter of Homer and Alberta George Yoho. She graduated from Belle Valley High School in 1953 and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed going to all the ballgames and events that they were involved in. She was married on December 2, 1953 to Merle P. “Mike” Rucker who died on December 20, 2020. She is survived by two sons, Ronald Rucker and wife Lisa of Rocky River, Ohio and David Rucker and wife Alison of Malta, Ohio; a daughter, Cindy Wilson and husband Mark of Malta, Ohio; grandchildren, Marie Burdette, Ann (Jon) Powell, Kelly (Joe) Frindt, Brianna (Rob) Mulhollen, Andrea (Andrew) Irwin, Derek (Megan) Rucker, Ashley (Jose) Rivera, Michelle (Dylan) Shaw, Casey Wilson and Jessica Rucker; great grandchildren, Dominic, Isabella, Waylon, Lilliana, Amelia, Mason, Carter, Easton, Grayson, Hadley, Emmy, Natalie, Austin, Sam, Jackson, Zachery and Benny; and a brother, George Yoho. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Michael Rucker; and Robert Burdett II; siblings, Nola Nichols, John Yoho, Eugene Yoho, Wilmadean Reed and Evelyn George.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2023 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Tim VanHorn officiating. The burial will be in the Reinersville Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shrivers Hospice, 2052 East Pike, Zanesville, Ohio, 43701.
