Tamara A. Guiler

Tamara A. Guiler, age 76, of Quaker City, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark. She was born October 29, 1946, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Clarence William and Anna Letetia “Tish” Archer Stack. Tamara was a 1964 graduate of Shenandoah High School and a graduate of Belmont Technical College, where she was enrolled in the Medical Assistant Program. She retired from Medical Associates in Cambridge. She was an active member of the Kennonsburg Church and a member of Neo Line Von Youth Ministries. She was a Christian lay speaker and former head of the Army for Jesus Sister Act for eight years. Tamara loved painting and crafting. She was a devoted Christian mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one great-grandson, Zayne Wheeler; and two brothers, Richard “Dick” Robey and Clay W. Stack.

Surviving are her husband, M. Dwain Guiler, whom she married June 14, 1964; her children, Melissa A. (Earl) Scott and Michelle A. (Tony) Thomas, all of Quaker City and Maricia K. (Eric) Overly of Caldwell; her grandchildren, Earl Wheeler (Mallory Johnston), Duane (Nicole) Wheeler, Kenneth Guiler, Chance Overly, Eric Overly, Jr., Earl Scott, IV, Heather Scott (Steven Gorby), and Timothy Scott Boyd; her great-grandchildren, Taminee Wheeler, Anna Wheeler, Bella Wheeler, Brooklyn Wheeler, Jayston Shook, Gage Roberts, Ryder Wheeler, Liam Wheeler, Domenick Guiler, Edloe, Abel, Carsen Dennis, and Aden Shook; one sister, Tyra K. (Roger) Thompson of Windham; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special Christian sister, Sharon Miller.

Friends may call Friday, September 1, 2023, from 11a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Kennonsburg Church, 57559 Kennonsburg Road, Salesville, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Mark Slay officiating.
