Lillian A. Crock

Lillian A. Crock, age 88, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, December 22, 2023, at Altercare Summit Acres. She was born July 21, 1935, in Noble County, daughter of the late Gerald G. and Helen Nau Miller. Lillian was a 1953 graduate of Caldwell High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper for C&S Plumbing, and along with her husband, owned and operated Club 564. She was also employed at Summit Acres Nursing Home for a time. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell and its Catholic Women’s Club. Lillian was an avid fan of the Caldwell Redskins and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She loved quilting, reading, and riding in her golf cart. She was devoted to her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Francis Crock, whom she married September 5, 1957, and who died January 29, 2004; one daughter, Patty Lynn Crock; two sisters, Mary Miller and Shirley Hupp; and a son-in-law, David Cline.

Surviving are her children, Janet C. (David) Kress of Caldwell, Vivian S. Cline of Summerfield, James J. (Kathi) Crock of Caldwell, Karen S. (John) Cline of Summerfield, and Joyce E. (Gregory) Yerian of Caldwell; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Catherine Wade of Caldwell, Marilyn Phalin of Belle Valley, and David Miller of Caldwell; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday, December 26, 2023, from 4-8 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a family rosary will follow visitation at 8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Wednesday, December 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Nelson as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
