Robert Pickenpaugh Withdraws from Noble County Sheriff’s Race
Former Noble County Sheriff and candidate for the office of sheriff, Robert Pickenpaugh, slated to run for re-election in the March primary against Noble County Sheriff Jason Mackie, has announced his withdrawal from the race. He did so in a public letter on his candidate Facebook page Friday. Below is the letter he posted:
To the residents of Noble County
Last summer several people came to me and asked me to run for Sheriff. I pondered on it for a while and decided to give it a go.
With much consideration and thought I have decided to withdraw my candidacy for Sheriff. This decision was a very difficult one to make, as I have served Noble County since I was 18 in some fashion. At the end of the day one has to do what is best for his family and himself.
I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming support, it has been a very humbling experience.
Again Thank You!
Sincerely, Robert Pickenpaugh

Well I’m sorry too hear that, but I feel you have served your time taking care of local town residents . Now you retire again and try to relax . Goodjob
