Roger D. Haga

Roger D. Haga, age 61, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, March 9, 2024, at his home. He was born November 11, 1962, in Marietta, son of the late Howard Russel “Howdy” and Anna Mae Cantwell Haga. Roger was a 1981 graduate of Caldwell High School and Mid-East Career Center in Buffalo where he studied auto mechanics. He was a United States Army veteran, having served in Germany, and he retired from Laborers Union Local #639 in Marietta. He loved watching western movies. Roger was Methodist by faith. He would do anything for anyone and was known as being kind-hearted with a great sense of humor. He could always make you laugh. He was devoted to his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter; his sisters, Brenda Harris and Kathy J. Haga; and his brothers, Randy Haga and Russel Lee “Rusty” Haga.

Surviving are his wife, Rose M. McCune Haga, whom he married August 15, 1981; his children, Roger Dale (Megan) Haga, II, of Caldwell, and Ryan Keith Haga (Kim Archer) of Whipple; his grandchildren, Blaise and Braelyn Haga, Timothy Archer, Izaiah Haga, and Skylar Haga; his siblings, Gene R. (Lela) Haga, Cheryl L. Swain, and Jeffrey D. (Bonnie) Haga, all of Caldwell; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
