Dudley Bryan Hardesty

Dudley Bryan Hardesty, 75, of Belpre, Ohio, passed away July 30, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 27, 1949, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Eldred Fred and Marie Myrtle Stoops Hardesty.

Dudley was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and had worked for the City of Belpre Water Department.

Dudley was a member of the Belpre Masonic Lodge #609 and had his 35 year pin. He was an avid golfer and he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a stained glass artist for 50 years and loved traveling to explore trains and rail systems  and building model trains.

He is survived by his daughters Melinda J. Theobald (Phillip) of Caldwell, OH and Megan J. Lang (Keith) of Waterford, OH; son Bryan F. Hardesty (Karly) of Marietta, OH; grandchildren Aedan Theobald, Kiera Theobald, Isabella Lang, Hudson Lang, Sydney Lang Jadelynn Lang, Kilynn Wynn, Aydric Wynn, Beaudyn Hardesty and Kambrye Hardesty; great granddaughter Oaklynn Lang; sisters Melissa Boatright (Scott) and JoEllen Cutright (Kenneth); several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents,  he was preceded in death by a brother Richard “Sony” Langfitt.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Leavitt Funeral Home Belpre, with Pastor John Powell officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8pm, with a Masonic service at 7:30. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Belpre Masonic Lodge or the Belpre area Veterans.
