Dolores M. Snider
Dolores M. Snider, age 85, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, August 19, 2024, at Altercare Summit Acres. She was born February 11, 1939, in Fulda, daughter of the late Albert G. and Marie C. Bishop Schoeppner. Dolores attended Fulda School for eleven years and was a 1957 graduate of Caldwell High School. She was employed over the years by the former K-V Store in Caldwell and Caldwell Exempted Village Schools, where she worked in the cafeteria and drove a school bus. She was a member of the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, its Catholic Women’s Club, and the Women of the Moose in Caldwell, holding various offices in each group. She lived in the Fulda community her whole life, but loved to travel when she was able. She enjoyed studying genealogy, especially about her family and the Fulda community; crocheting and needle point; flower and vegetable gardening; and dancing and wine making.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Isadore A. Snider, Jr., whom she married October 18, 1958, and who died February 27, 2016; her sons, Scott Snider and Steven Snider; a grandson, Jonathan Pangle; her siblings, Ralph Schoeppner, Norman Schoeppner, Mary Arlene Schoeppner Law, Howard Schoeppner, Vernon Schoeppner, Cletus Schoeppner, Leona Schoeppner Schell, and Melvin Schoeppner.
Surviving are her children, Dr. Andrew M. (Elaine) Snider, Dana H. (Adrienne) Snider, Jacqueline E. (Raymond) Toncray, and Karen D. Snider; her grandchildren, Christopher (Dayle) Snider, Dr. Jeanette Snider, Dr. Andrew “Drew” (Allison) Snider, Dr. Emma Snider (Zeke Vicchio), Maverick (Bella) Snider, Tyanna (Mario) Jacobo and Taylor Snider; her great-grandchildren, Nathan Snider, Benjamin Snider, Zachary Snider and Aurelia Jacobo; one sister, Vera Schoeppner Doll; a sister-in-law, Sophia (Huck) Schoeppner; many nieces, nephews, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and also sadly missed by Allie Madden and Annie Saling, whom she considered as her own children.
Friends may call Friday, September 6, 2024, from 4-8 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a rosary service will follow visitation at 8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Saturday, September 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Nelson as celebrant. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
