Shenandoah Zeps Fall in Hard-Fought Battle Against Barnesville Shamrocks

In a closely contested matchup on their home court, the Shenandoah Zeps girls’ basketball team came up just short against the Barnesville Shamrocks, falling 40-34 on Tuesday night. The loss drops the Zeps to a 9-7 record for the season, while the Shamrocks improve to 7-8 with the victory.
The game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading defensive stops and timely buckets. Shenandoah was led by standout performances from Kendal Snyder and Brenna Leach. Snyder paced the offense with 13 points, using her ability to create shots and keep the Zeps in the game. Leach was a force on the boards, pulling down an impressive 13 rebounds to go along with her 8 points.
Despite their efforts, the Zeps couldn’t overcome a strong second-half surge by Barnesville, who capitalized on key opportunities down the stretch to seal the win.
With this loss in the books, the Zeps were looking to rebound as they prepared for a trip to West Virginia on Thursday night to face the Paden City Wildcats. The Wildcats, known for their fast-paced style, presented a tough challenge.

Zeps Fall Short in Nail-Biter Against Philo Electrics

The Shenandoah Zeps girls’ basketball team faced a tough battle on Monday night at home, falling to the Philo Electrics in a tightly contested game, 57-54. With the loss, the Zeps dropped to 9-6 on the season, while the Electrics improved their record to 7-10.
Despite the outcome, the Zeps showcased a determined effort, led by a dominant performance from senior forward Brenna Leach. Leach was unstoppable, posting a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds to keep the Zeps in the game.
Emily Moore also contributed across the board with an impressive stat line, recording nine points, four rebounds, five assists, and six steals. Kendal Snyder rounded out the top performers for Shenandoah, adding 10 points, five rebounds, six assists, and four steals.
The game remained close throughout, with Shenandoah pushing the pace defensively and forcing turnovers, but the Electrics capitalized on clutch plays down the stretch to seal the victory.
Next up for the Zeps is another home matchup, this time against the Barnesville Shamrocks (6-8), on Wednesday. It promises to be another competitive contest as Shenandoah looks to bounce back and return to the win column.
