Nancy Louise Clymer Boyd

Nancy Louise Clymer Boyd, born on June 22, 1943, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the age of 81 surrounded by her family. She was born in Marietta, Ohio, the only daughter of Earl Gerald Clymer and Ila Louise Devol Clymer. Nancy graduated from Dexter City High School in the class of 1961 and went on to further her education at Columbus Business University. She worked in payroll for seven years at Cleveland Graphite Bronze until her family began to grow.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who supported her family in all ways. She served as treasurer of the Caldwell Band Boosters for many years while her daughters were in the band in the mid to late 1980s. She had a passion for numbers and tracking finances. Nancy and Eugene were members of the Curly Qs Western Square Dance Club for many years. She was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church and was a 60-year member of Aurelius Chapter # 60, Order of the Eastern Star of Macksburg, beginning at the age of 18. She enjoyed fishing in her early years.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and a stillborn brother, Ralph Clymer.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Eugene Boyd, as well as daughters Christy Farnbauch (Eric) of Hilliard and Karen Harris (Rodney) of Nashport. Her four grandsons, Corey (Madyson) Farnbauch of Akron, Kyle (Malynn) Farnbauch of Columbus, Cody Harris of Marysville, and Ryan Harris of Nashport, whom she loved deeply, and enjoyed watching them participate in various sports and music endeavors. She especially loved watching Cody and Ryan march in The Ohio State University Marching Band for eight years. She also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Brooks Farnbauch, as well as two additional great-grandchildren to be born in August and November 2025. She was excited by the news of her growing family.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. An Eastern Star service will be observed at 3 p.m. followed by a memorial service and burial at Dudley Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Senior Living in Zanesville, especially Sarah Vincenzo, and Shrivers Hospice, for their compassionate care in the final weeks of Nancy’s life. May Nancy’s memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
