Rosa Belle King
Rosa Belle King, age 87, of Caldwell, died Friday September 12, 2025 at her home. She was born May 17, 1938 in Noble County, daughter of the late Little Zedrick and Rosa Belle Bates Clark. Rosa was a 1956 graduate of Sarahsville High School and had over the years worked at the Shenandoah Egg Factory, March Electric, Hamilton Beach Scovill and General Telephone. She was a member of Archers Ridge Church and along with her late husband Paul owned and operated a family farm for which they received a Fifty Year Award from Farm Credit Services. Rosa had served as a poll worker with the Noble County Board of Elections. She enjoyed canning, quilting and sewing. Her beloved family was the center of her life.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McKinley King, whom she married July 4, 1956, and died May 2, 2013; two grandsons, Steven M. King in 2005 and Joseph Q. King in 2004; a son-in-law Stephen J. Flynn in 2022; sisters Mary Lucinda Anderson and Opal Juanita Leasure; brothers John Jacob, Delbert Berton, James Richard Sr., William Carl and Zedrick J. Clark.
Surviving are her children, Roy Lee (Naomi) and Eldon Paul King of Caldwell, Joseph Zedrick (Margaret) King of Sarahsville and Bonnie Mae (Matt) Weekley of Thornville; eight grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her brother, Joseph Edward (Nancy) Clark of Pleasant City; sisters-in-law, L. Kay Clark of Senecaville and Marianne Clark of Belle Valley; several nieces and nephews, who lovingly knew her as “Aunt Sis”
Friends may call Wednesday, September 17, 2025 from 4 to 8 p.m., at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street in Caldwell, where the funeral will be observed on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Ken Perkins officiating.
