Ellen L. Triplett

Ellen L. Triplett, age 72, of Caldwell, died Friday, January 30, 2026, at Altercare Summit Acres in Caldwell.  She was born September 12, 1953, in Marietta, daughter of the late Raymond E. “Jake” and Betty Jean Dovenbarger Ramage.  Ellen was a 1971 graduate of Caldwell High School.  She was a member of the Macksburg United Methodist Church, and its United Methodist Women, having served as treasurer for several years. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and reading, especially Laura Ingalls Wilder and science fiction books. Ellen was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whom her grands fondly called “Nanny.”

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Marlene J. Emerick and a brother, Gregory A. Ramage.

Surviving are her husband, Jeffrey A. Triplett, whom she married June 15, 1974; one daughter, Christy J. Triplett; two sons, Jeffrey M. (Ashley) Triplett and Bobby A. (Tiffany) Triplett, all of Caldwell; one brother, Ronald (Deanna) Ramage of Sarahsville; one sister, Lisa Ramage Lee of Summerfield; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Greg Emerick; a sister-in-law, Betty Ramage; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Monday, February 2, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, in Caldwell, where the funeral will be observed on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor George Clark officiating.  Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery.  An online guestbook may be signed at www.mcvay-perkins.com.
