Doris E. McKee

Doris E. McKee, age 87, of Caldwell, Ohio died Friday, January 30, 2026, at Altercare Summit Acres.  She was born February 14, 1938, in Palmer Township, Washington County, daughter of the late Clifford D. And Myrtle M. Elder Hale. Doris was a 1956 graduate of Waterford High School and a faithful member of the First Church of Christ in Caldwell, where she served as church secretary for several years.   Along with her  husband, she owned and operated McKee’s Market and the Sharon General Store.  Doris was an executive secretary and bookkeeper for twenty-eight years at Mid-East Career Center’s Buffalo Campus and served as Clerk of the Noble County Probate Court for eight years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fulton McKee, whom she married March 10, 1957, and who died July 21, 1984; three great-grandchildren, Bradyn McKee, Boone McKee and Ila Perkins; and two brothers, Denver Hale and Lloyd Hale.

Surviving are four sons, Edward W. (Jennie) McKee of Caldwell, David A. (Rita) McKee of Caldwell, Larry D. (Deborah) McKee of Caldwell and Jeffrey D. (Deena) McKee of Cambridge; six grandchildren, Jamie, Brandon, Emilee, Kayla, Ethan and Austin; eleven great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Weston, Addison, Karis, Karlee, Kenadi, Raelynn, Klayton, Kohen, Kenna and Skye; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street,  Caldwell.  The funeral will be observed on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Brent DeWees officiating.  Burial will follow in Hoskinsville Cemetery.
