Beverly D. McKee
Beverly D. McKee, age 80, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born April 28, 1945, in Caldwell, daughter of the late George W. “Blackie” and Clara I. Perkins Bond Matheny. Bev attended Caldwell Schools and had taken childhood development courses through Muskingum University. She retired from The Noble Learning Center as a teacher’s aide. Bev was a faithful member of the Main Street Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, assisted with church dinners, and helped in any way she could. She loved to decorate her home and garden, and working in the dirt was her happy place. Family was the center of her life, and she loved planning and hosting family get togethers. Her happiest moments were with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and sister, April, with whom she shared a special relationship.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Jason W. Pierce; two great-grandchildren, Kenzie Rose McKee and Trae Thomas DeVolld; half- sisters, Evelyn Rayner and Bonnie Kominar; and half-brothers, Clyde and Thomas Bond.
Surviving are her husband, William Joseph “Butch” McKee, whom she married February 9, 1962; her children, Thomas W. (Kathy) McKee and Tammy S. (Kenneth R. “Kenny”) Pierce, all of Caldwell; five grandchildren, Luke (Lea) McKee, Brooke (Travis) DeVolld, Bradley (Colleen) Pierce, Ryan (Megan) McKee and Devin McKee; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, April E. (Gene) Winberg of Greensboro, North Carolina; a granddaughter-in-law, Angela M. Pierce of Caldwell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins: and her beloved Golden Doodle, Claire and cat Milo.
Friends may call, Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 4-8 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral will be observed Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 1 p.m. with Brent Smith officiating.
