Carolyn M. Eichhorn

Carolyn M. Eichhorn, age 86, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at The Arbors at Marietta. She was born December 26, 1939, in Little Hocking, daughter of the late Floyd Webb and Sarah Blodwen Evans Bretz. Carolyn was a licensed practical nurse who retired from Summit Acres Nursing Home following thirty-eight and a half years of service and she was a member of the First Church of Christ in Caldwell. She bowled for many years at King Pin Lanes in Cambridge and enjoyed flower gardening and quilting. Family was the center of Carolyn’s life, and she attended as many of her grandchildren’s events as she could.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. “Slug” Eichhorn, whom she married July 5, 1969, and who died October 10, 2015; two sets of infant twin daughters, Sonjia Jean and Tonjia Marie Burch and Sarah Margaret and Carol Elizabeth Burch; two sisters, Juanita Starcher and Mary Young; and one brother, Wendell Bretz.

Surviving are her children, Pamela M. Burch of Clarksburg, West Virginia, Jennifer F. (Bob) Anderson of Coolville, Tonjia S. “Mert” (Mike) Clark of Cambridge, and Anna M. (Ryan) Frost of Lore City; 6 grandchildren, Ashley (Austin) Touville, Sarah Whetzel (Kalob Davis), Kristen (Austin) Life, Missy (Scotty) Chapman, Michael Martin, and Jeanette (Kevin) Morris; 10 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Donna L. Miller of Belpre; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call Friday, June 19, 2026, from 4-8 p.m. at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Saturday, June 20 at 1 p.m. with Brent DeWees officiating.
