Carolyn Veva (Clark) Carpenter-Allison-Slabaugh
Carolyn Veva (Clark) Carpenter-Allison-Slabaugh, age 92, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, at Canton Christian Home. She was born March 9, 1934, to the late Richard and Bernice (Batten) Clark.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin Carpenter, Eugene Allison, and Melvin Slabaugh. She is survived by her sister, Delores Guiler of Lexington, Kentucky; and by her four sons, Jeffrey (Debra) Carpenter, Timothy (Janice McDermott) Carpenter, David (Toni) Carpenter, and Daniel (Lisa) Carpenter.
She was a loving grandmother to Justin (Sierra Dunn) Carpenter, Nicole (Josh) Warwick, Brittany (Joe) Buchheit, Jacob Carpenter, and Adam (Kara) Kutz; and a cherished great- grandmother to Layla, Jessie, Viviana, and Dezy Carpenter, Brennan and Avery Warwick, and Penelope, Scarlett, and Josie Buchheit. She was preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Scarlett Buchheit.
Carolyn is also survived by her stepchildren, Doris (Alan) Yoder, Joyce (David) Brockway, Karen (Tony) Humphries, Edward (Diana) Allison, David (Gina) Allison, and Jane (Mark) Eakin, along with several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was a member of First Christian Church and Perry Christian Church. For the past two years, she resided at Canton Christian Home, where she especially enjoyed gathering with many friends around the puzzle table.
Carolyn will be remembered for the love she shared with her family, her faith, and the kindness she showed to those around her. Her family is grateful for the care, friendship, and support she received at Canton Christian Home.
