Vivian Maxine Wheeler

Vivian Maxine Wheeler, age 94, of Pleasant City, Ohio, died Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Embassy of Cambridge. She was born July 3, 1926, in Pleasant City, daughter of the late Ernest and Ersie Eva Phelps Hannum. She was a 1944 graduate of Pleasant City High School, and she retired as an assembler from NCR in Cambridge. Maxine was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Pleasant City and its Ladies Aide Society, and a member of the Noble County Red Hatters. She loved to play bingo, go bowling, and go to yard sales. She was dedicated to her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Kyle Wheeler, whom she married November 22, 1947, and who died July 14, 1991; one sister, Mary “Ruth” Buckey; and two brothers, Arthur Raymond Hannum and infant brother Richard Hannum.

Surviving are her children, Lucy L. (Rodney) Heddleson of Caldwell, Pamela R. Wheeler of Byesville, and Danny B. (Linda) Wheeler and Richard N. (Kathie) Wheeler, all of Pleasant City; a sister-in-law, Lucy Jane Wheeler Bates of Sarahsville; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.

Friends may call Monday, July 5, 2021, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. The funeral service will be observed Tuesday, July 6th at 11AM at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Pleasant City with Pastor Kenneth Hacker officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.     I will never forget the times we spent together she was the reason I got up and went to work every morning Maxine will forever be in my heart
